The 40th Annual North Charleston Arts Fest will take place on May 3-7, 2023
A multi-venue, multi-disciplinary arts event open to all North Charleston residents and guests.
Five days of activities are dedicated to the North Charleston Arts Festival, which comprises performances by regional and local artists in the fields of dance, music, theater, visual arts, and literature. A wide variety of free performances, exhibitions, and activities are offered to locals and visitors in a number of locations, including libraries, establishments, community centers, and parks. Everyone can find something to enjoy on the festival agenda, which includes concerts, theatrical productions, dance shows, kid’s activities, demos, and exhibitions.
2. ST. PATRICK’S DAY BLOCK PARTY & PARADE
On Saturday, March 11, 2023, join them for the 19th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party & Parade, the largest St. Patrick’s Day event in the Lowcountry. Live music, street vendors, food from Olde North Charleston eateries, a kid’s zone, and other activities will be available during the event. At noon, a parade begins on Park Place East, next to East Montague Avenue and across from the Park Circle Community Center, to kick off the block party.
The public can attend the party and parade. Parking is free. Parking is quite scarce; thus, it is advised that you carpool or rideshare and use caution when parking in nearby communities.
On Monday, July 4, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Riverfront Park, North Charleston will host the greatest 4th of July fireworks display in the Lowcountry. After dusk, there are fireworks, DJ Natty Heavy, and the North Charleston Pops!
All regular admission attendees are given a FREE entrance to the show. There will be no seating provided, so attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Everyone who plans to attend is urged to bring lots of water and snacks.
Parking is free. For parking, use McMillan or Virginia Avenues to access the former Navy Base. Carpooling, ridesharing, walking, and bicycling are all encouraged.

The park is closed until 5:00 p.m.
Every bag will be checked.
During the celebration, grills are not permitted in the park, nor are sparklers or other external fireworks.
The 2023 North Charleston Farmers Market will be held at Exchange Park, 5025 Lackawanna Boulevard, every Thursday from May 11 through October 26 from 3 to 7 p.m. The market features a wide selection of locally grown, fresh vegetables in addition to art, craft, and specialty food exhibitors. The market also hosts a different food truck every week.
